I began my Kathak journey in April 2022. As soon as I shadowed my very first class, I knew I had found something special. There was not a moment of hesitation- I joined the following week and immediately encouraged my daughter, Akshara, to see if she might be interested as well. She had the exact same experience, and we both started learning Kathak almost at the same time. It has been a pure joy ever since. Learning one of the traditional Indian classical dance forms had always been a dream of mine, and through this experience, I have learned that age is never a barrier when you have the passion to learn.
